Fluorouracil Recovery October 2016

These are pictures of my face after healing up, I was prescribed Hydra-cortizone Cream from my primary doctor to help with the healing, All that did was burn/sting my face, my daughter has Eucerine in the tub (thicker stuff) it helped so much with the pain and stinging.I also tried Cortizone-10 cream that left me stinging also. I used it for two days before going and getting the intense healing one that is thinner in consistency. I used it for four days clearing my face faster than the doctors cream.  I can tell the difference in my skin texture and color from before I used the cream and after. Would I do my whole fact at the same time again? NO!!! I would do a portion, I have a daughter I have to take care of and it was very hard on some days not to loose my temper (from the pain, you know how you lash out  when you don't feel good) So no I wouldn't recommend doing it all at once if you have little ones at home.  This is less than two weeks after, they said it can take up to six weeks. so I will post again if there is anymore changes for the better!

Fluorouracil and my Journey

I started my journey with Flourourcil on 9-30-2016, At first I didn't see where the doctor told me that it would burn? After the first three days, I really couldn't see a change, waking up on the fourth day I noticed the redness starting. On the fifth day I started noticing the burn and soreness when I would put on the cream. Taking only Motrin to help ease the pain.  I should have taken more pictures,the ones posted were taken 18 days after starting treatment.I really wish I had known the pain it would have caused, because if I had known I would have only done a portion at a time. The spot around my nose was the worst  there was no touching it at all. If I needed to blow my nose it was the worst pain! On my forehead on the left hand side was very painful also. (First pic shows it as the right because of the mirror)In between treatments I put antibiotic cream on to help sooth soreness. I continued doing this til the 25th . My face got a whole lot more red and sore by this time. So much so nothing was helping with the pain. I never knew really had bad the sun was for you, I thought I was immune to getting this skin damage/cancer. So please if you are out in the sun alot or not even alot please put on sun screen!

JINDO LOVE

Another Organization near and dear to my heart is Jindo Love! They work really hard and often times off their own personal money to save dogs from the Korean Dog Meat Market. Yes you read that right, they rescue dogs from the meat markets where people think it is ok and the best thing to do is eat DOG MEAT! Here in the USA we eat cow/chicken etc. And yes we think it is OK, Vegans and Vegetarians will say different and that is their right to do so.
I do think they will also agree that dogs are meant to be companions and not a source of food.
There is so much that goes into rescuing the fur babies over there, sometimes they have to buy the dogs from the farmer, then there is vet care, shots,test to make sure they are free from Heart Worm, Heart Worm treatment if needed,boarding cost and then when one is lucky to be adopted! There is the cost of the flight. I know the fee's that Jindo Love charges to adopt does NOT cover all these cost. They will take a loss if it means that they are in FUR-EVER homes and never to be hurt/harmed again. I am going to post a paypal account for these organization all donations can be sent as personal/family so that no fees occur on either side! I have two rescues from them and I have not had one health issue with neither of them. Patti Kim is great to work with and stays right by your side through the whole process! I put her to the test let me tell you! lol
Su is the best also! you can see the love she has for all the dogs that she rescues and loves to see updates and remembers each and every dog that has left her facility (home) and there is even a Jindo Adoption Facebook page so that all the adopters can see updates on the rescues and their NEW lives.

GIFTS FROM THE HEART FOR DOWNS

Hi there and Welcome to my first blog post!

 I decided I wanted to get the word out about Gifts From The Heart For Downs. A GREAT organization that grants wishes to individuals with Down Syndrome . This is a non profit organizations solely ran by a single mother of two (Judy and Matthew) with DS. Kimberly Adams puts her heart and sole in the work when granting the wishes, she tries her hardest to make sure every avenue is covered that there is nothing or bare minimum (like souvenirs ) coming out of the wishers pocket book!

Recently she helped put together two great wishes, one was for Dylan to meet the Jacksons! That's right Jackson Family. Dylan was able to meet Jermaine and his mother and was taken on a tour and he showed off some dance moves. Dylan is a die hard fan of Michael Jackson and being able to see some of Michaels collections really made his day!


Also Kim was able to put together a Wish for Chad to meet Garth Brooks,and Trisha Yearwood! They were the best with him, treating him like an equal! Even spending time with him before the concert and Garth gave Chad his hat! During the concert Garth searched the crowd for Chad and his family and gave Chad his guitar he had been playing, He even signed it for Chad, Garth really went above what we were expecting!

Kim also helps so many parents with wishes for an IPAD for the family member, my daughter has done wonders with hers! She has been helped so much by it,learning and language skills. There are so many families that just can not seem to be able to get one on their own. Kim makes sure they are given one when she has the funds to do so!

Sadly all wishes have been put on hold, no more applications are being accepted at this time, Due to no funds coming in. Her daughter Judy has been doing her own fundraising to try and help her mom, and Right now she is collecting dimes!!! Dimes is all it takes to help grant wishes!
